xBike ·

The Sur-Ron Light Bee 2 is a new generation of lightweight electric dirt bike with 24 kW peak output and a 3.53 kWh battery. It is in stock at xBike in Almaty for 2,300,000 KZT as of 29 September 2026. It is a separate model; the earlier Light Bee X keeps its own catalogue listing and specifications. Current purchase details are on the Light Bee 2 product page.
This review is for riders choosing their first electric motorcycle or comparing the new bike with a Light Bee X. It combines our photographs and short video with published specifications. The quoted range figures are not measurements from a ride in the mountains around Almaty.

Sur-Ron Light Bee 2 specifications
Key figures were checked against the official UK Sur-Ron distributor and the Russian Light Bee 2 model page on 29 September 2026. These figures describe the off-road model, rather than the separate L3e specification.
| Specification | Light Bee 2 |
|---|---|
| Peak power | 24 kW |
| Torque at the wheel | 410 N·m |
| Battery | 78.54 V, 45 Ah, 3.53 kWh |
| Kerb weight | 65 kg |
| Seat height | 830 mm |
| Wheels and tyres | Front 70/100-19, rear 3.00-18 |
| Suspension travel | Fork 215 mm, rear wheel 220 mm |
| Specified top speed | 90 km/h |
| Claimed range | Up to 160 km at 25 km/h; up to 108 km at 40 km/h |
| Charging from 20 to 80% | Approximately 2 hours |
The 24 kW figure is peak output. The 410 N·m figure is measured at the wheel, so it cannot be compared directly with a petrol engine's crankshaft torque. Rear-wheel travel also differs from shock travel; the table gives wheel travel.
Light Bee 2 versus Light Bee X
Our Light Bee X 2025 listing specifies 8 kW peak power, 57 kg and a 60 V / 40 Ah battery. The Light Bee 2 weighs 8 kg more, with a more powerful drive system and larger battery. Both listings give an 830 mm seat height. Shorter riders should try the riding position on each bike rather than decide on output alone.
Model year and market matter. For example, the UK Light Bee X MY26 is listed at 10 kW. A bike advertised as a "Light Bee X 2026" is therefore not automatically the 24 kW Light Bee 2. Use the exact model when comparing prices, specifications or replacement parts.

Battery and range in the mountains
The Light Bee 2 is specified with a semi-solid-state battery. That describes its battery technology; it does not guarantee a particular lifespan or distance for an individual bike. Steady riding at 25 km/h and a climb with repeated acceleration use energy differently.
The 160 km claim belongs to its stated constant-speed test condition. It is not a ready-made mountain itinerary. Elevation gain, rider weight, terrain and temperature affect consumption. This article contains no xBike measurement of range on such a route. Discuss the route and the energy needed for the return journey before setting out.
Controls and choosing a first bike
The Light Bee 2 includes traction control and SWC front-wheel-lift control. The UK specification also describes adjustable throttle response and energy recovery. These settings help tailor the bike, but they do not replace braking skills or careful throttle use.
Check whether you can hold the bike securely at a standstill and reach the levers with gloves on. Ask for a demonstration of the riding modes and supplied charger. A first lesson does not require using all the available peak power. If the Light Bee riding position feels cramped, consider the Ultra Bee comparison.
Common questions
What does a Light Bee 2 cost in Almaty, and is it in stock?
The xBike price on 29 September 2026 is 2,300,000 KZT, with the bike in stock. Check current availability and configuration on the product page before payment. Arrange a viewing through our contact page.
Is the Light Bee 2 suitable for a beginner?
Fit and riding skills matter more than a height or age label alone. This model has substantial peak output. Start by checking the riding position, adjusting the controls and learning the modes. Ask the manager whether a trial ride on this specific model is available.
Will parts from the earlier Light Bee X fit?
The shared Light Bee name does not establish compatibility. Check the generation, part number and mounting points for batteries, controllers, brakes and suspension parts. The xBike workshop can help assess a specific part before you order.
You can view the bike and discuss a purchase in Almaty. Our Sur-Ron price guide for Kazakhstan covers the wider budget comparison; the separate Light Bee 2 listing carries its current price.
