Electric bike rental in Almaty: what the ride includes

As of 23 September 2026, published beginner routes start at 25,000 ₸. This is a route price, not a daily rental rate. It includes the base bike, protective gear, briefing and guide. Transfers are included on remote routes. For routes near the city, travel to the start yourself by taxi or public transport; we send you the starting point before the ride. Tell us whether you have ridden a motorcycle and how comfortable you are on a bicycle. Before departure, the instructor explains the controls and checks your riding in the practice area. For a session focused on learning, the enduro school has a separate programme. Its first two-hour lesson costs 25,000 ₸ at the time of writing.

Do I need a licence, ID or a deposit?

A driving licence is not required for our guided tours because the routes do not use public roads. Bring an identity document to verify who you are. These are participation conditions for xBike tours, not the rules for independent city riding. A deposit may be required at the guide's discretion; its terms are agreed before the ride.

Trying Sur-Ron or Arctic Leopard before buying

Start with the xbikeXpedition fleet, rather than assuming every shop model is available to ride. The sales catalogue and rental fleet may have different models and configurations. The manager confirms the available bike for your date and a route suited to your experience. We do not offer independent test rides without a guide.

On an easy section, notice whether you can control the throttle and brakes smoothly. At a stop, check that you can put a foot down confidently and support the bike. After the route, think about your wrists and knees. An uncomfortable riding position matters more than an impressive peak power figure.

Tell the instructor that you are considering a purchase. Afterwards, discuss specific observations: a seat that felt too high, a bike that felt heavy at a stop or a throttle response that was too sharp for you. These details help with selection more than a general impression of the ride.

Buying an electric motorcycle in Almaty

The xBike motorcycle catalogue shows prices, availability and specifications for the listed configurations. We focus on Sur-Ron and Arctic Leopard. Other brands, including Talaria, can be discussed as special orders. A model missing from the website may still be available to order; the manager confirms specification and delivery terms.

Ask how the bike you rode compares with the one being sold. Wheels and equipment can differ within a model family. The city and enduro configurations of the EX700, for example, are separate offers. A family name does not replace the equipment list for the actual motorcycle.

Plan where you will store and charge the bike and how you will transport it to your riding area. Discuss the intended use and documents for the chosen configuration with the seller, especially if you plan to use public roads. The conditions of our off-road tours do not determine the requirements for your future motorcycle.

Considering a used bike

For a used motorcycle, ask for the service history and battery test results. xBike measures remaining capacity over a full cycle and checks the cell groups and BMS. Measured capacity describes the battery under the test conditions; it does not promise the same range in winter and summer or on different climbs.

Battery diagnostics are free for 12 months after buying a bike from xBike. Parts and repairs are charged separately. The xBike workshop also services other brands and repairs or builds batteries. Compatibility and repair feasibility are assessed for the actual unit.

Can I rent a Sur-Ron for a day without a guide?

xBike does not offer that service. Bikes are provided for guided tours and lessons. To try a Sur-Ron before buying, confirm a model from the rental fleet and a date in advance.

Can I try every model in the shop?

Only models in the rental fleet that are available on your date. The rental bike may have a different configuration from the sales model. Before buying, ask the manager to compare the equipment of the actual motorcycles.

Do I have to buy a bike after the tour?

No. A tour is a separate service. You can come for the ride and decide about buying later. The tour payment does not become part of the motorcycle purchase payment.

What to send the manager

Try this: "I would like to try an electric motorcycle before buying. My height is ... and my riding experience is ... . I plan to ride ... . My purchase budget is ... and I can visit on ... . Which fleet model and route would suit me?"
